Legal & boundaries

The policies that apply to navide.dev, the optional Navide account service, and the Navide software — and a plain statement of what stays on your machine.

  1. Privacy and Data Flows

    Navide is local-first, not universally offline. This page lists what Navide keeps on your machine, which features can send data to an external service and what they send, and what the cross-device relay can and cannot see.

  2. Security Policy

    How to report a vulnerability in Navide, which versions receive fixes, and an honest account of the security model — including the limits that have not been engineered away yet.

  3. Code of Conduct

    The standards for participating in Navide's community — on GitHub, on Discord, and wherever someone represents the project — and how a report of unacceptable behaviour is handled. Adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1.

  4. Boundaries

    A plain statement of where Navide draws its lines: what stays on your machine and what can leave it, where your data is kept, and who can give instructions to whom — you, the agents, and other devices.

  5. Licenses

    Navide is released under the MIT License. This page carries the license text and lists the third-party packages the application is built from, with their licenses, as recorded in the repository at version 0.1.93.
